How Does Enoxaparin Work?

Enoxaparin strengthens the activity of antithrombin, a natural substance that regulates blood clotting. It mainly blocks clotting factor Xa and, to a lesser extent, thrombin. This prevents new clots from forming and stops existing clots from becoming larger.
