How Does Tegonat Work?

Tegafur is converted into fluorouracil (5-FU) inside the body, which interferes with cancer-cell DNA production and slows or stops cancer growth. Gimeracil helps maintain fluorouracil levels by slowing its breakdown, while oteracil helps reduce its effects on healthy tissues in the digestive system.

Precautions
