
Trabectedin is an intravenous chemotherapy medicine used to treat certain advanced soft-tissue sarcomas and, in some regions, selected relapsed ovarian cancers. It is usually considered when the cancer has returned, progressed or cannot be treated adequately with previous therapies.

The trastuzumab component attaches specifically to HER2 proteins on cancer cells. The medicine is then taken inside the cell, where it releases the chemotherapy component DM1. DM1 blocks microtubules, preventing the targeted cancer cell from dividing.
